10 ways to make money from art

Sell original art (physical pieces) on your website.

First set up a website. Then click a few pictures of your art and post them on your webpage. You could either display their prices or add a link to you to request for pricings.

Sell physical or digital prints of your art.

The advantage of selling prints is that you can sell it at a lower amount than the original artwork, and expand your arena of buyers.

Attend pop-up markets and fairs.

There are town markets and village fairs just waiting for artists to display their art. Why? Because art makes any event, a vibrant and colourful one!

Create an online course.

This is a great way to share your unique talent while making money from it, right from the comfort of your space.

Teach in-person / live workshops.

You’re the best at what you do, so why not teach others and make a profitable income from it too.

Create an e-book.

E-books are compilations of your best work, with some of your unique perspectives and stories thrown in. They are easy to share and sell, and enables you to get a wider audience.

Accept commissions from individuals and corporate clients.

Don’t reject commissions. The more you get, the more money you make!

Upload videos on YouTube.

People are drawn more towards videos while scrolling through social media.

Start licensing your art.

This prevents others from replicating your exact artwork and making money off it.
