Acrylic painted Baby Name Sign with Florals | Photo Tutorial

Hello crafters and creators! Anjali from ‘The Letters of an Architect’ here and I’m back with another photo Tutorial for the month of October. I had recently done a few baby name sign/monogram paintings on my Instagram and they seemed to be popular among followers. Many messaged asking for more details on how they can be made and hence, I decided to do one for this month’s DT project.

These can be framed and hung in your little one’s nursery and can be done very easily. You only need some acrylic paints, brushes, and stencil for this.

Here’s the complete list of supplies used:

Now to get started onto the project,

Step1:

Tape the paper borders onto a surface using the Painter’s tape. Apply the Pink and Peach paints using the sponge roller. This creates interesting textures and gradation of paints for the background.

Step 2:

After cleaning the sponge roller, tape the stencil on top of the background and roll the white peach acrylic paint over it. Remove the stencil and re-tape it on the opposite side and stamp the pattern once again.

Step 3:

Using the PH Martin’s Bleedproof white and Princeton brush, add in some more details like leaves and florals.

Step 4:

Letter in the name. First using a pencil, and then using white acrylic paint and Princeton round brush. For a silver shimmer effect, I used the White gold paint from the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry colors palette. Erase the pencil outline after lettering.

Step 5:

Peel off the painters’ tape to reveal your finished artwork.

And there you have it! Ready to frame and hang in your little one’s nursery or bedroom, or to make a little girl’s day by gifting her one.

I really hope you enjoyed reading about this project and would love to see you create something similar. Do share your creations on social media using the hashtags #madewithppsuae and #myppsorder and don’t forget to tag @ppsuae and @thelettersofanarchitect on your post.
