Good day everyone. Ingrid here once again.
August is not over yet. There’s still time to participate for this month’s challenge; to create a Project Inspired by a Photo & you can have a chance to win a prize pack from PPS.
Without further ado, let me share to you my July Project Life. Here’s my August DT kit I worked with for this month along side my past DT kits & personal stash.
Always love using Paislee Press’ minimalist photo template to most of my photos. But I also like mixing photos with handwritten journaling. Still keeping my project life pages in minimal embellishment.
Here I intended to write directly on my food photo (left page bottom photo) but I was hesitant that it might smudge & ruin the photo. So, I thought of another way to do it (to look like I’ve directly written on the photo) by using a tracing paper (vellum paper). Cut an imperfect circle on the center to make my food photo visible. Adhered it using a washi tape on the top just to prevent it from moving.
The right page center photo was a layout I made using Project Life App on my phone. I downloaded the photo to my laptop & edited it in Photoshop using the minimalist photo template. Then added the balloon sticker after I printed it.
I don’t know what I was thinking but it looks fun, the glasses sticker embellishment I added on my selfie photo (left page bottom left). So, I guess, it’s nice to add some fun stuff on your project life pages once in a while.
On the right page was my quote for the month on a 6×6 white cardstock, “It doesn’t matter how slow you go as long as you don’t stop.” Used a letter stencil to write this quote.
On the left page, I added a DIY filler. Cut a 4×6 from the cardstock from my DT kit. Randomly added some sticker embellishment. Then using a black pen & some fineliner colored pens (that matches the colors of the embellishment), I doodled on it. Thus is another fun thing to add to your project life.
Since I like to cook & take food photographs, I added 2-4×6 collages of the food I cooked this month. Some I posted on my Instagram.
At the back of the 6×6 was a layout I created for my layout-a-month. A simple scrapbook layout I made for my eldest son’s digital artwork.
I usually keep some memorabilia from our trips or movie dates. Here (right page center right) I added the cinema tickets from our latest movie date.
There goes my July project life & I hope you enjoyed reading through.
Ingrid♥
