Hey lovely crafters! It’s Inktober and Instagram is just overflowing with everyone’s creativity. Here at the Pretty Paper Studio also this month’s theme is Inktober. Check out the hashtag #inktober to find out what it’s all about and also for some really good inspiration. For this month’s project, I thought of getting some lettering on my apron. Been thinking of trying lettering on different mediums. This time lets give a try on fabrics.
So let’s begin,
First get your apron washed, ironed and ready for the project
Test out your paints first on the fabrics to see how they work on it. You can use fabric paints but acrylics also work well on fabrics. Add a very little amount of water to make it easy to work over the fabric.
With the help of the chalk mark out a rough sketch of your illustration and your lettering
Once you’re sure about the lettering and the placing then start painting.
Apply a layer of acrylic paint first and allow it to dry. Then apply a layer over it for a better texture.
Same applies for the lettering as well.
This is the final look of my apron.
