December is my favorite time of the year, it is my birth month and everyone seems to be on a cheerful mood because of all the festivities brought about by Christmas season. The holiday cheer is very much alive here in Dubai, a lot of establishments are decorated with festive lights, Santa even has his grotto set up around the city and huge Christmas tree stand tall inside malls.
This year, we opted for a table top tree and small decorations so it seem perfect to create a Christmas decoration to cheer up the mood of our home.
For this months “Gold” theme challenge, Chloe and I chose to make a simple Christmas decoration we can use to make our home extra festive this season.

Let’s get our crafting hats on and get started.
Step 1: Decorate shadow box with the gold polka dot washi tape, then trim off excess tape.
Step 2: Spread ModPodge on the insides of the box then sprinkle gold glitter. Let it dry.
Step 3: Scatter ‘jingle bells’ and baubles inside the box to get a good look on where the message goes. Stick it in place with a glue gun.
Step 4: Two options to fill in the message area: my choice was to use a stencil while Chloe opted to cut pictures from the card stock
(a) Place stencil in the middle and spray with color paint. However when we went for this option the message was not clear. We decided to cover it up with more glitter to hide the mishap.
(b) Chloe happily proceeded with her choice and cut out pictures from the cardstock.
