Hi all… It’s Ingrid time for this month again. Hope you’re having a good day & a good start of the week.
July is almost finished but there’s still time to participate for this month’s challenge, Black, White & a Splash of Color, for a chance to win a goodie bag worth 50aed from our store. Awesome, right?
As always, I’m here to show you my May Project Life pages. Yes, I’m one month late with my project life. Blame it on art journaling & coloring pages. Hahaha… I hope you’ll enjoy reading through my project life & be inspired to start with your own life documenting through pocket scrapbooking.
Here’s my July DT kit and I’ll be using these along with my previous DT kits & some personal stuff.
As much as possible, I tried to incorporate our theme for this month on my project life. I had some of my photos printed to black & white and added some colored embellishments. As always, I used Paislee Press’ minimalist photo templates for most of my photos.
Just like my previous posts, I made a draft for each of my pages to determine the arrangement of my photos and journal cards. Then from the paper pad from my DT kit, I choose some papers to be used as journal cards, title cards and filler cards. Then cut them to 3×4 and 4×6 cards. And using the stamp from my DT kit, my previous DT kits and from my personal stuff, I created some stamped embellishments that I used for this month.
On this spread, I added a scrapbook layout as a part of my project life adventure this year. Here is a 6×6 layout I created for my Mama’s birthday (since May was her birth month). A simple black & white photo of her on a black background paper with some colorful flower embellishments.
At the back of the layout I added a journal card with a quote from the Mother’s Day journal card set I designed.
Those stamped embellishments that I created I used all through out my project life pages as word sentiments and/or label tags. On the left side, I created a 4×6 filler card using a paper from my DT kit then added a circle transparency embellishment from my DT kit as well.
These spreads and the next (on the left) were our weekend getaway with our tribe. I created two page protectors with 3×3 pockets using my existing 6×12 (2-6×6 pockets) page protectors (you can see a photo below).
Most of the photos in this weekend I made into black & white but added a few in colored. Since most of my photos here were black & white, I added some colored cardstock as fillers.
On the right side, I added two photos with QR codes, a way I can incorporate videos on my project life album. I can just scan the codes on my phone (Scan Life app) and I can be able to view my videos which I saved/uploaded on my Dropbox account (or social media accounts).
After I’ve added all the embellishment and additional journaling, I browse through all the pages again (once or twice) to check if I needed to embellish, journal some more or until I’m satisfied.

Here’s the half of the 12×12 (with 4 pockets) that I turned into 6×12 page protector with 8-3×3 pockets using the Fuse tool.
Again, there’s no right or wrong way to do this. Project life (or pocket scrapbooking) should be just according to your term, your own preferences and as to how you wanted it to be. It’s a reflection of yourself… at least for me. Although, I admit that I’m still searching for my own style and I’m thankful that we have the world wide web for a wide range of inspirations.
I hope you enjoyed my post and thank you for dropping by.
