Hey Hi Crafty Peeps,
Its Stamptember this month at our PPS with a variety of stamp launches. Am so happy to play along this month as Stamping is my most favorite and have come up with an inspiration for you all.
Let’s get started!
As the challenge theme says Stamptember, all focus done on Stamping in my Mixed media Layout starting from Background to the making of embellishments.
Took a designer paper from earlier DT Kit. It has a lovely marble look from Simple Stories collection: Beautiful. Colors are so soft to suit my project and took a washi tape from same paper collection to match my background. Tim Holtz frames were taken and a designer paper from Prima Wild free collection used to mat the picture.
Mounted the designer paper to a chipboard to the have sturdy base. Added the washi tapes vertically over the layout to create a pattern and interest. Then using smaller stamps like sprig, heart, leaf motifs from Altenew Crafty Friends Stamp set, created a background using various Altenew inks. And also white heat embossed smaller sentiments repeatedly to create a subtle texture to the plain background.
The above collage shows subtle stamping in the background, few stamped as such in various color shades of teal, pink, and grey to suit the Layout base color and few are white heat embossed to bring about the textures.
This is the final look of the finished layout after a series of textures, sprays and floral spray arrangement.
The dotted stencil is used with Prima Light paste to create stenciled texture at both sides of the Layout. Then the frames were added in varying sizes to capture the attention with a misted cheesecloth as backing. Two cork tags were added to complement the look. The floral clusters are made using 49andmarket floral collections, chipboards, fussy cut florals from designer papers.
Large sentiment chipboard is heat embossed using Vintage pink embossing enamel and added to the smaller frame.
To incorporate more stamping to the layout, added stamping around the cluster using text stamp from Prima, and few other stamps from my stash with black archival ink.
To add more to stamptember theme, added white heat embossed vellum florals from Altenew stamp: Beautiful Day. This way you will get a dainty look of the floral spray without overpowering the floral collection added earlier.
Took a watercolor paper, white heat embossed text stamp and heat set it. Then went over with Distress ink: Worn lipstick and finally sprayed water to achieve a distressed look. Finally used Sizzix: Butterfly dies to diecut 2 butterflies from that paper.
Added few dew droplets in various sizes on the stamped areas to give a zoomed look of the underlying stamping.
Used the sticker ‘Love’ from the Simple stories Beautiful Collection Sticker sheet. Made a small floral spray using leaf chipboards, flowers and misted cheesecloth and added the distressed, white heat embossed diecut butterfly near to it.
Added splashes of pink around the focal point and dry brushed white gesso on the embellishments. Few pink enamel dots are added as accents. Applied Prima Artstones in different sizes and tucked some beige lace bits and twine bows between the cluster to finish off the layout.
That’s it for today.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope I have inspired you enough to play along with our current challenge “Stamptember”.
