Scrapbooking layout – Masking technique tutorial

Good Morning all!

This is Shruti here and I am here to show you how I made this very easy scrapbook layout using the masking technique.

IMG_8644.jpgI used my Silhouette Adhesive cardstock for the masking technique here. I cut out the the name ‘Krisha’ using my Cameo on the adhesive cardstock. The font I have used here is Impact.

IMG_8620Before you place the letters on to your cardstock make sure you stick them on back of your hand couple of times so it removes the excessive stickiness and it makes it easy to peel it off from your cardstock later. I have used the American Crafts 12×12 cardstock in Vanilla

IMG_8628.jpgI sprayed some Tattered Angels glimmer mist on top of it. I used two colors here; Marigold and Blue skies

IMG_8630.jpgOnce the mist dried up I used a gel pen in red to roughly trace around the letters. I did not want the letters to have a very clean look so that it gives it a handwritten effect.

IMG_8632.jpgPeel off the letters.

IMG_8634.jpgVoila! how simple is that?!

I went ahead and added a photo and other embellishments to finish off the layout.
